Ludwig Bergmann Sr., the grandfather of my predeceased husband Ludwig, was a pioneer of agricultural engineering in the Oldenburg Münsterland region: With great business sense, boundless energy and passionate creativity, he founded the company in Goldenstedt in 1896. And from then on he built agricultural machinery. That was 125 years ago. And even the founder knew how to get his machines (at that time still with horse power) to the customer. In an advertisement in the regional newspaper Oldenburgische Volkszeitung on August 26, 1905, he stated:

„"ATTENTION: My wide and pin threshing machines, spreaders and shredder machines which were awarded at the Oldenburg Trade and Industrial Exhibition ... have defied already rain, wind and sunburn for 10 weeks under free sky  ... I would like to have the gentlemen farmers as well as agents hereby asked to want to take a look at these machines after such a rare sample."

That's what the "gentlemen farmers and agents" did. And so BERGMANN developed into a pioneer in agricultural technology - far beyond the region. Two generations further on, I am now the third generation to run the traditional family business. We are proud of that. And 125 years after Ludwig Bergmann Sr. it sounds like this today:

„Agricultural machinery in 3D animation, videos directly from the field, employees in the chat room, a virtual tour of the production hall, moderation in the live auditorium.“

Due to COVID 19, we had invited our customers and dealers to our first virtual trade show in March 2021.  So to say, from horse power to virtual reality.

What has remained is that we continue to offer our dealers and customers around the world top-quality, state-of-the-art agricultural machinery at very reasonable prices. Of course, this is only possible hand in hand with our employees, who - like the company's founder back then - still work with great business sense, boundless energy and passionate creativity. They are the ones who guarantee the success of our company.

We would have been so happy to celebrate our 125th anniversary with you and our partners, suppliers, dealers and customers. But we'll do that later. For sure.
